PHR Launches Cell Phone Integration
Philadelphia, PA. – Today at the Medical
Group Management Association annual conference,
NoMoreClipboard.com announced cell phone
integration capabilities now available for
its online Personal Health Record (PHR).
Patients using Smartphones with Internet
access such as the Palm Treo or Apple iPhone
can interact with their NoMoreClipboard.com
PHR account from virtually anywhere. With
the NoMoreClipboard.com Smartphone Interface,
users can keep a real-time health diary,
tracking health measures such as blood glucose
levels, blood pressure, carbohydrate intake,
height, weight and BMI. Cell phones can
also record physical activity such as diet
or exercise using this interface.
“As consumers increasingly rely on mobile
technology to organize and manage daily
tasks, gaining access to personal health
information on wireless devices makes perfect
sense,” says NoMoreClipboard.com Vice President
Jeff Donnell. “NoMoreClipboard.com enables
consumers to create comprehensive online
PHR accounts for themselves and those they
care for. The new Smartphone Interface provides
the capability to easily update and manage
that PHR any time, from any location.”
Patients can simply point their Smartphone
browser to www.NoMoreClipboard.com
and they will be presented with a login
screen that gives them access to a version
of the PHR optimized for their mobile device.
The NoMoreClipboard.com Smartphone Interface
also gives patients real-time access to
a PHR summary, including critical information
such as medications, allergies and medical
conditions. In addition, NoMoreClipboard.com
premium subscribers can use their phones
to direct NoMoreClipboard.com to send a
complete version of their PHR to a healthcare
provider.
NoMoreClipboard.com is also developing
additional mobile phone functionality, including
the ability to send reminders to patient
phones, and receive alerts about upcoming
appointments or the need to take medications
or follow care plan directives. Patients
will be able to respond to these reminders,
recording medication or care plan compliance
in their NoMoreClipboard.com account. NoMoreClipboard.com
will also add the ability to capture descriptions
of pain levels or illness symptoms as they
occur, and for patients with camera phones
to capture and store images in their PHR.
NoMoreClipboard.com is also developing
BREW applications that can interact with
mainstream CDMA-based wireless devices,
as well as an interface to enable communication
between patients and NoMoreClipboard.com
using standard text messaging.
