NoMoreClipboard.com Offers New NMC-MD Online Patient Portal to Physician Groups

January 2010 – As physician practices move to satisfy patient and family engagement meaningful use criteria and more consumers use the Internet to manage family health and wellness, NoMoreClipboard.com is offering physicians a new patient portal designed to improve both the patient experience and physician office productivity. From the portal, patients can create a personal health record account, share demographic and clinical information, and send and receive secure messages relating to appointments, medication refills, billing questions and clinical questions.

Specific benefits of the new portal include:

- Meeting patient-centered meaningful use criteria. The NMC-MD portal was designed to help physicians meet ARRA meaningful use criteria, including providing patients with electronic copies of health information, timely access to health information and clinical summaries after each patient encounter.

- Streamlining administrative tasks by collecting patient information prior to an appointment, making the check-in process more efficient, and reducing phone call volume for appointment requests, prescription refill requests and routine patient questions.

- Integrating with practice workflow. For paper based practices, PHR data can be delivered to an NMC-MD administrative portal on existing practice-specific registration forms, giving the practice a more legible, accurate and complete view of patient health information. For practices with an EHR, the NMC-MD portal can deliver electronic patient information in a secure, interoperable format.

- Building brand loyalty. The NMC-MD patient portal can retain the same visual identity as the existing practice website, ensuring a smooth patient experience that builds brand recognition and value.
