NoMoreClipboard and ICA to Collaborate on Health Information Exchange and Patient Engagement Opportunities

Fort Wayne, Ind. - June 11, 2013 - NoMoreClipboard and ICA, a provider of interoperability technology that enables care coordination and health information exchange (HIE), today announced a strategic agreement that will capitalize on integrating ICA HIE offerings with NoMoreClipboard personal health record (PHR) and patient portal solutions. By combining ICA technology with patient-facing applications from NoMoreClipboard, HIEs, hospitals, health systems, providers, communities and ACOs can improve electronic communication with patients and meet the patient engagement requirements in meaningful use stage two.

"ICA and NoMoreClipboard are already working together on several projects with HIE and health system clients, and we have quickly come to appreciate our respective commitment to standards-based interoperability," said Gary Zegiestowsky, CEO of ICA. "We are working on everything from Direct to XDS information exchange, with a focus on making HIE and provider data available to patients in a secure, electronic format. We are formalizing our collaboration to help our respective clients qualify for meaningful use and engage patients looking for easier ways to access, organize and manage health information."

"As electronic patient engagement gains traction, there is a real opportunity for HIEs and forward thinking providers to offer patients portable solutions that enable them to access and share data across the care continuum," said NoMoreClipboard president Jeff Donnell. "ICA is adept at managing patient information, and we are working together to put that information in the hands of patients who can then take a more active role in managing health and wellness."

ICA and NoMoreClipboard are currently working on projects for several mutual clients including the Kansas Health Information Network, the statewide HIE in Kansas, and Meridian Health, a leading New Jersey health system.
